Tribute_to_Lovecraft by Betta-Fly Tribute_to_Lovecraft by Betta-Fly
This is my personal tribute to H. P. Lovecraft.
I done it in November 2007 for a book edited in Italy by Cagliostro ePress and Bottero edizioni. You caqn find this book in Italy in these days!!!
I’m so happy and proud about this work, overall because in this book I’m side by side with works done by eminent people like Neil Gaiman, Alan D. Altieri, Paolo D’Orazio and Mario Farnet.
For this opportunity I must tell tank you to Alessandro Bottero that thought I could be a funny expedient for this book. Thousand thank you!!!! :glomp: .

this is just too cute. I've only just recently had the chance to read some of Lovecraft's works. I was able to get a compilation of his most popular works at a local bookstore. I love his writing. :D i have long loved cute depictions of cthulhu-like creatures and it was this developing facination that lead me to check out Lovecraft. :D Now if only i could find work depicting other of Lovecraft's curious plethora of monsters and beings. :D

I love this. :D I love the creature's eyes and his paws/hands on the window sill and the boy's totally innocent seemign reaction. I'm sure if a creature like this guy stuck his head in MY window I'd be a little less calm than this guy. :XD:

Thank you so much! you were really kind! Im so sorry for the delay but for a long time I thought to close this account... for personal reason ... but now more or less I'm back :3
this illustration was all inspired to the Lovecraft's biography. In the 1897 he was young and once he grows up he said he wrote about the thing and the nightmares of his childhood... I thought it could be lovely to transform these monster in something friendly... In my personal interpretation I thought it is for this reason that he was interned in the asylum... just because he considered monsters like friends :)

I should read his biography. He sounds like an interesting guy. I definitely enjoyed his work, though in some of his early stuff I was frustrated when he described things as "so horrible that no words could describe it..." My reaction was so...."Pleeeeease try!" :XD: :D

I'm glad you didn't close this account because I love this piece. I've always liked the idea of the scary thing really being friendly and that is just only one of the reasons I love this piece of yours. i love the details and the expressions and just....everything. :D
